Simple instructions such as “please leave the building at your nearest exit” can be complied with easily and efficiently. For disabled users this is a lot more difficult of a task. This is where a disabled refuge can play a positive role for wheelchair users and disabled people alike. This invaluable technology is now an essential system for all future building projects in Ireland.
Disabled Refuge areas are now enforced as part of all building regulations for all non-domestic buildings which are more than one story high. In these areas a simple 2 way communication system is essential. It is necessary for a communication system in refuge areas to be installed. We are here to create a safer future environment for buildings throughout Ireland.
DISABLED REFUGE SYSTEMS
There are 2 types of central control system available in the range. We would usually locate your disabled refuge system in the building’s control room. There are two types of outstations available (Type A & Type B). Disabled refuge systems generally use Type B intercoms. Type A systems are usually used by stadium marshal and fire telephone systems.
EASY TO USE
Both types are connected to SigTel’s central control equipment with the use of enhanced fire rated cables. All of our systems are very easy to function and offer true duplex speech. All SigTel’s products meet the safety standards and requirements of BS 5839.
These types of essential systems are essential for saving people’s lives and to help you comply with building regulations.
